Rev. Michael F. Brown Sr.

SENIOR PASTOR

Pastor Michael F. Brown, Sr. is a visionary leader with a heart for service and shepherding God’s people.  He began his preaching and pastoral journey while in his twenties, which has spanned several ministerial capacities.  These endeavors compelled him to serve as Assistant to the Pastor, Vacation Bible School Director, Evangelism Director, Youth Pastor and Executive Pastor.

With a ripened desire to be an effective minister of the gospel, Pastor Brown earned degrees from the College of Biblical Studies (Houston) and Dallas Theological Seminary.  He is committed to lifelong learning and ministry, and continues his biblical education through workshops, special sessions, conferences, podcasts and mentoring.

Rev. Brown’s philosophy of ministry comes from Mark 10:45. “I have come not to be served, but to serve and give my life a ransom for many.” He firmly believes that service should be the hallmark of every member of the Body of Christ and embraces the privilege of leading Central Baptist Church to be a continued beacon for Christ to the community.

This philosophy of ministry also extends to his meaningful service as a chaplain for Denver Rescue Mission.  In this capacity, Pastor Brown serves on the frontlines of spiritual engagement.  Ministering to the souls of those who are in need of Christ, he demonstrates God’s love through biblical teaching, spiritual counseling and listening to those who are broken and frequently rejected when they need help the most.  Through a commitment to prayer and dedication, he is deepening connections of faith to those who are often considered the least.

Rev. Brown has been married for over twenty years to Dr. Carla Michelle Turner-Brown. Together, they have four sons. His hobbies consist of playing golf, discussing his passion for basketball and other sports and dialoguing about scriptural truths. He loves to stay well-informed on current issues within his community and amidst the world around him.  Lastly, he relaxes by enjoying nice meals with his wife and spending time with family and friends.
